– 3d Battalion, 11th Marines (3\/11) Foundation<\/title>"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>During the 2011 reunion, members of the 3d Battalion, 11<sup>th<\/sup> Marines Association formed a relationship with the Marines of the Marine Wounded Warrior Detachment at Brooke Army Medical Center of Joint Base San Antonio.\u00a0 Subsequently, the Association was able to support some projects for the Marines.\u00a0 As interest in helping the Marines increased, it became apparent that an ad hoc organization could not accomplish the task.\u00a0 The 3d Battalion, 11th Marines (3\/11) Foundation was established on October 14, 2013, in order to more effectively assist the Marines of the Wounded Warrior Detachment and <span class=\"\" style=\"font-size: inherit;\">to help\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"\" style=\"font-size: inherit;\">other Marine Wounded Warriors, as needed (see Mission Statement)<\/span><span style=\"font-size: inherit;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Texas Secretary of State officially approved a name change for the Foundation on April 1, 2024.\u00a0\u00a0\u201cMarines\u201d was added to the abbreviated name, so the official name is now the 3d Battalion, 11<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Marines (3\/11 Marines) Foundation, and the abbreviated name is 3\/11 Marines Foundation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>The 3\/11 Marines Foundation is an Internal Revenue Service-recognized <\/strong><strong>501(c)(3)\u00a0<\/strong><strong>charity incorporated in the State of Texas. \u00a0 <\/strong><strong>Federal tax ID 46-4240572.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h5
